- This delicious pie is a lovely spiced, warming autumn treat. Juliet likes to make hers extra deep-filled and uses a double-depth fluted tin, however, if you only have a shallow tin you can still make it and you’ll have a little more excess pastry. It’s lovely to bake the scraps or if you have kids let them make little shapes using pastry cutters. You will also need to reduce the filling quantity by a third.
- You can’t beat an iconic carrot cake recipe. This one is deliciously soft and perfectly complemented by a soft cream cheese frosting. I’ve added a little ring of chopped pistachios for decoration as I love the colour and flavour but you can use any nuts you like or even sprinkles for a pop of colour.
- These little fellas are simple to make, and the kids can get involved in creating their very own hedgehogs! I like to use half white flour and half granary for kids, but you can make these with any type of bread flour you like. You can use olives or raisins for the eyes and noses, or just be creative and use whatever you like.
