A very warm welcome from everyone here at Rangemaster to the start of 2024. We’d like to wish you a Happy New Year and if you’re planning a new kitchen this year, we’ve hand-picked eight top trends that are set to be big news in the coming months. Whether one or two catch your eye or you want to make an impact with a number of these on-trend looks, finishes and styles, we’ve got the appliances, sinks and taps to match…
1. Reeded or Fluted Finishes
This year one of the biggest trends for kitchens will be reeded or fluted finishes for furniture. This simple vertical pattern can be applied to cabinetry, both timber and glazed doors, as well as to screens and room dividers in an open-plan scheme. It’s great for adding texture to your room and can be complemented with neutral finishes for worksurfaces and flooring to keep it calming or combined with darker palettes for a statement look. It can also be used to create an industrial vibe. Rangemaster’s Cosmo single-bowl stainless steel inset sink is just the right of seamless style to complement this trend while the Atlantic Kube 1.5 bowl undermount design adds aesthetic appeal with its geometric effect.
2. Statement Stone Surfaces
Adding a luxurious look to classic and contemporary kitchens, statement stone surfaces are set to be a key trend for 2024. Whether it’s the intricate veined stone of marble, a sintered stone or a sparkly quartz, these materials can be used to create durable and hardwearing worksurfaces, eye-catching splashbacks, island cladding with waterfall edges and framing for statement sinks.
Natural stone has a raw and organic feel that can also be used to add a premium finish to budget cabinetry. Rangemaster’s Classic FX 90 range cooker in Black makes an instant impact when set within a crisp white stone worksurface on either side while Ash Black works well for a matching sink and tap, as seen with Rangemaster’s Paragon Igneous Granite undermount sink with Aquatrend dual lever monobloc tap in matt black to match. A dramatic Charcoal sink finish also looks great with a statement stone surface, as seen in Rangemaster’s Oridian inset Igneous Granite sink.
3. Metallic Accents
Think of metallic accents as the jewellery and finishing touches of your kitchen. Whether you prefer brass, bronze, chrome or gold, there are polished and brushed finishes to suit your scheme. Metallic details can be found in the form of range cooker handles and trims, cabinet handles or handleless pulls, sinks and taps, lighting and hardware such as plug sockets and light switches.
Rangemaster’s Elise 110 induction cooker in Slate with an Antique Brass trim is a perfect example of how metallic touches can elevate a humble cooker into something truly special. You can also complement this look with the SXS American-style fridge-freezer in Dark Inox with chrome trim and give a white ceramic butler or Belfast sink a luxe finish with the GEO Intense 4-in-1 hot water tap in Brushed Brass.
4. Think Pink
Whether it’s a dusty pink, rose hue or pale plaster hues, pink is one of the key colours for 2024. This tone is perfect if you fancy something a bit different to the natural and neutral palettes of recent years but you’re not quite ready for dramatic dark tones. It’s all about colour confidence so go big with pink cabinetry or play it safe with a pink tiled splashback. If you want something that’s easily changed and updated, stick with pink coloured accessories, small appliances and cookware. Rangemaster’s Nexus 90 induction range cooker in Black looks stunning set within pink painted timber cabinets while any of its fire clay ceramic sinks will enhance a vertical pink tiled splashback.
5. Timber Cabinets
Many homeowners now seek out sustainable products when renovating their home so FSC® certified timber cabinetry not only helps our environment but it also looks stunning, especially when left in its natural state. Team with Rangemaster’s Arlington 1.5 bowl sink in stainless steel (a recyclable material) or the Austell 1.5 bowl fire clay ceramic design in Matt Black for a contrasting look.
6. Home Bars
Entertaining at home has become the go-to for getting together with family and friends, so enhance your home bar with an undercounter wine cabinet from Rangemaster. There are 30cm and 60cm sizes to select from as well as black or stainless steel. Features include dual temperature zones, triple glazed doors, UV filtered glass and anti-vibration systems, all designed to create the optimum condition for your wine.
7. Open Shelving
This trend has been around a long time and is a great design trick to make a small kitchen feel open and airy as well as larger in size. Swapping wall cabinets for open shelving also allows you to display your favourite cookware and crockery with quick and easy access to cookery books and other everyday essentials.
Chunky timber shelving looks great in a classic setting while reclaimed scaffold shelves give an industrial nod. You can also achieve this look with bookshelves and dressers as well as open plate racks and suspended shelves, giving your kitchen a personal touch that can be enhanced with fresh potted herbs and colourful artwork.

8. Soft Blues
The colour blue has also been big news in kitchens lately and 2024 sees a softer tone for cabinetry and small appliances. Calming and tranquil, it’s a palette that works well with white marble and ceramic, natural timber and matt black. Bring the look into your kitchen with Rangemaster’s Classic kettle in Stone Blue and enhance pale blue painted units with the Farmhouse fire clay ceramic Belfast sink.
