We’re going Simply Modern this month, with contemporary kitchens and the sleek, on-trend appliances and accessories to go with them. Modern schemes are a really flexible style solution for all kinds of property, whether it’s a glass box kitchen extension on the back of a Victorian terrace or a compact apartment in the heart of the city. Simple slab doors with a recessed handle offer a sleek, seamless feel which can then be topped off with a worktop either in a complementary neutral shade or something a little more daring to add a touch of drama. The latest quartz worksurfaces for instance come in all sorts of finishes including concrete effects for an on-trend industrial look. Natural timber will also suit but it does need regular oiling to keep its organic beauty looking its best. Laminate is another option and is ideal for those working to a budget.

White and grey kitchens are still popular and this is a trend that seems set to last. To break up a run of simple white cabinetry, a statement Rangemaster range cooker provides everything you need for professional results along with a striking design that fits in perfectly with the Simply Modern style. The Nexus is just the thing with its choice of dual fuel or induction top, 90cm and 110cm widths, a new and improved grill and even a bread proving drawer on the 110cm model, as shown below. Colour-wise, it comes in Slate, Black, White or Stainless Steel – the perfect contemporary colour palette.

You can accessorise the space with pops of colour on open shelving and worktops – think teal blue and turquoise ceramics, glassware and small appliances. Or stick to a graphite, charcoal and stainless steel theme for that urban feel.

The Nexus 90 in stainless steel really shines in a crisp white colour scheme. Reclaimed wooden floorboards will bring warmth to the room and consider underfloor heating too, for toasty toes all year round. A collection of framed black and white photographs will also add a personal touch and can easily be changed and updated over time.

Another focal point feature option is the Rangemaster Excel 110, which is the first Rangemaster range cooker to offer triple oven cooking, making it the perfect choice for the festive season ahead. In Slate, Cranberry, Ivory, Black or Stainless Steel, there’s a shade to suit every modern kitchen design. If you do favour a colour block, why not paint a feature wall in one of this season’s shades – this autumn it’s all about emerald greens, midnight blues and faded purple hues.

The Rangemaster Professional Deluxe is another contemporary styled appliance with a choice of Stainless Steel, Gloss Black, Cream, White or Cranberry colours as well as induction or dual fuel and 90cm, 100cm and 110cm widths to suit your space and culinary needs.
