If you’re thinking of updating your cooker or hob or are planning a new kitchen project complete with all-new appliances, have you thought about switching to induction? While gas is still a favourite for many thanks to its instant, even heat and good temperature control, induction is so much quicker and safer than traditional gas or electric hobs. And it costs less to run, which is always a bonus.
Rangemaster offers a variety of range cookers with the option of an induction top as well as built-in induction hobs and induction-friendly cookware, giving you a choice of stunning styles to suit your scheme.

Induction works by directly heating the pan rather than the hob. This is because induction coils made from copper wire sit beneath the surface, creating a magnetic field as electricity is passed through them. So, when a pan with a magnetic base is placed on top, the magnetic field causes the pan to heat up directly. The hob itself remains cool with just residual heat so it’s a lot safer, which is great for families with children and multi-generational households.

As well as being extremely safe to use and be around, induction heats your pan instantly, so no more waiting for the pot to boil. Induction is incredibly responsive for both low and high heat cooking and it’s more energy efficient than gas or traditional electric. Food cooks and heats up much faster so it uses less power, which means lower energy bills. And that’s always a good thing. To complete your kit and start cooking straight away, Rangemaster has a great selection of induction-compatible cookware such as the 28cm frying pan shown below.
Induction cooktops and hobs are so simple to keep clean. Their flat glass surface just needs a quick wipe with a damp cloth once the residual heat has cooled with less worry about ingredients being burnt or baked on. And if you do want to sear meat, fish, seafood, vegetables or fruit, you’re in luck, as Rangemaster’s G5 MK2 induction hob also comes with a griddle.
Available as standard on the Rangemaster Nexus Steam, Nexus SE, Nexus and Elise. And it’s available as an optional extra on the Leckford Deluxe and Longstock Deluxe models. It’s made from cast aluminium so is lightweight yet hardwearing with rubber feet to protect the glass hob beneath.

This is available on the Nexus Steam, Nexus SE, Nexus, Elise, Leckford Deluxe and Longstock Deluxe.
There are also built-in induction hobs too. Choose from a four-zone 60cm design or a five-zone 90cm width. The Eclipse collection includes power boost, boiling, frying, keep warm and chocolate melting modes, ideal for home cooks and budding chefs alike.
