From the very beginning, Martin Moore's luxury handmade kitchens were influenced by the timeless, elegant symmetry and scale found in the work of pioneers such as Inigo Jones: an architect of the early modern period and responsible for introducing the classical architecture of Rome and Italian Renaissance to Britain.

The result of these influences is luxury handmade kitchen furniture, that not only fulfils its function perfectly but does so with handsome good looks and the ability to fit in, effortlessly, within its situation.

OUR STORY

It was 1975, and the handmade kitchen market was dominated by modern German and Italian styles. Martin, a design engineer, and his wife Barbara had just returned to England from their extensive travels around the world. Having bought an old Victorian house in need of much renovation, Martin set to work designing and making furniture that was perfect for their house and family life.

Good things grow, and before long the couple had turned their passion for crafting handmade kitchens into a thriving business. Their appreciation of traditionally built British housing stock and empathy for the quintessential English lifestyle resulted in bespoke, handmade kitchen designs that were perfectly suited to Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian homes.

Over forty-five years later and we're still a family business, with Richard and Michael Moore working with their parents at the helm for over 20 years. We're proud that many of our loyal workforce - designers, cabinet makers, installation managers, fitters and painters alike - have been with us for decades. Each one takes enormous pride in their work to create our beautiful, bespoke handmade kitchens. People have come to know us for the quality of our materials, the reputation we've built since 1975 and our deep respect and passion for technical and aesthetic excellence. Put simply, our craftsmanship and service.

OUR SERVICE

All our furniture designs for the kitchen and around the home are inspired by the classic styles of English furniture heritage. However, in our workshop, we've happily embraced computer-controlled technology and modern production methods along with traditional cabinet making skills.

Quality and expertise aside, it's our excellent service and the relationships we foster that make our company dramatically different.
