YORKSHIRE WOLDS COOKERY SCHOOL

JSR, one of the UK's largest, family-owned farming businesses, has opened a brand new cookery school in Southburn near Driffield, as part of its mission to improve the eating quality of meat. The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School will offer a variety of courses and demonstrations to help students improve their skills and learn more about the art of cooking.

The school's courses will be run by in-house Chef, Ali Bilton. However local Chefs will also be able to hire the facilities to teach their own master classes. In addition, the school can be used to host corporate functions and team building events.

The Yorkshire Wolds cookery school is the only school of its type in the East Yorkshire area and boasts high quality accommodation for visitors, including six guest rooms and a three bedroom holiday cottage at Highfield Farm.

The school's one day courses offer eight students the opportunity to roll up their sleeves up and cook themselves. The cookery demonstrations will be shorter in length and will allow 20-25 students to watch how dishes are made. Forthcoming cookery demonstrations include canapés, Christmas treats and a curry night. The number of students per course and demonstration are limited to ensure each student can have one-to-one tuition time. Disabled facilities are available both for the cookery courses and the accommodation.
