Now that school’s back and we’ve waved goodbye to our fleeting summer, it’s time to embrace the cocooning feel of autumn/winter. There’s so much to love about the new season ahead. From soups, stews and casseroles to curling up in front of the fire with a good book, it’s the perfect opportunity to hunker down and hibernate with homecooked food for the family and cosy nights in catching up with friends. To help you prepare your home, we’ve picked the top five kitchen trends for autumn/winter 2024 with Rangemaster appliances to add the perfect multifunctional finishing touch.

1 Monochrome mood

A crisp and clean black and white kitchen is a really flexible colour palette, as it suits both classic and contemporary interiors. If you favour a traditional style, choose timber Shaker-style cabinetry painted in a charcoal or anthracite finish and team with white marble or quartz worksurfaces for contrast. If you prefer a modern feel, high-gloss handleless cabinets in matt black and white are just the thing. Add an Igneous Granite sink from Rangemaster in Ash Black or Charcoal with a Rangemaster black-finish tap to match. We love the Hemlock dual lever monobloc for a classic kitchen and the Aquaquad in matt black for a modern look. Rangemaster’s Nexus SE 110 induction cooker in Charcoal Black is the perfect all-round appliance for energy-efficient hob-top cooking with induction top, multifunction oven, fan oven and slow cook oven, ideal for all those warming stews and casseroles.

2 Back to nature

The biophilic trend of connecting our indoor and outdoor spaces still continues and it’s easy to see its appeal. By decorating your home in natural tones and floral or leafy motifs, bringing plants and flowers inside and using organic and sustainable solutions wherever possible, you instantly feel a sense of peace and calm, turning your home into a soothing sanctuary from the hectic world outside. If you’re hanging wallpaper in the kitchen or dining room, make sure it’s washable and durable and for a modern twist, go for a large-scale print. Create a co-ordinating focal point with Rangemaster’s Classic FX 90 Induction cooker in Mineral Green with chrome trim and treat yourself to the matching Classic kettle and toaster – two or four slice – also in Mineral Green. Finish with wooden accessories and display favourite ceramics on open shelving for easy access and an open and airy feel.

3 Metallic luxe

No matter what your budget, there’s always one material that’s guaranteed to add a luxe look to your scheme and that’s metallics. The metallic vibe is going to be big news in kitchens for autumn/winter, especially with Christmas round the corner, and it’s easily achieved with something as simple as a gold or bronze light fitting, coffee pot, coasters or vase. For even more of an impact, choose lustrous metallic-finish tiles for the splashback or cover one side of the island in gold leaf. Rangemaster’s sinks and taps are also a great way of introducing a striking focal point. Its Spectra stainless steel sinks in Copper or Gold are stunning while a Gold or Brushed Brass tap adds the perfect finish. When it comes to the main event, Rangemaster’s Elise Luxe 90 dual fuel range cooker in Stainless Steel with Antique Brass trim will really make an impression.

4 Colour clash

When it comes to colour confidence in the kitchen, maximalism is key. Think clashing colours, prints and patterns and don’t worry too much about sticking to a theme or palette. This full-on effect is all about daring to be bold and breaking all the rules. Of course, this all-in approach doesn’t suit everyone so if you like the idea of bright colour but want to tone it down a little, stick to a neutral base with blocks of colour for the cabinetry and add little splashes of pattern or print with floor or wall tiles in colours that pick up on the accent tone. You can add to an existing scheme with colourful bar stools, kitchen textiles such as oven gloves and tea towels in vibrant shades or by swapping a sedate window blind for something with more pulling power. A Rangemaster range cooker will also add instant impact to your space, with a wide choice of colours including Regal Blue, Cherry Red, Olive Green and China Blue. We love the Classic Deluxe 110 dual fuel in Cranberry with Brass trim.

5 True blue

Merging the trends for dark and blue kitchens, this look is all about immersing your space in the deepest, inkiest shades with blue painted timber cabinetry, blue accessories and a blue range cooker to match. It’s such a relaxing colour and is a really versatile shade, as it goes with pretty much anything. Luxe it up with metallic hardware for light switches and sockets, bronze or gold-finish taps and lighting or enhance a natural feel with dark wooden accents such as timber chopping boards and bar stools. We think Rangemaster’s Elise 110cm induction range cooker in Stone Blue would be the perfect fit with its French feel and easy-clean induction hob.
