As we begin the autumn season, it’s the perfect time for a kitchen refresh. These next few months are all about hunkering down and spending time with the family in the hub of the home. Our kitchens should be warm and welcoming, offering a multifunctional space for cooking, dining, relaxing and entertaining. And with a Rangemaster or Falcon range cooker, not only can you update a tired kitchen scheme but you can also prepare and cook the most wonderful soups, stews, casseroles and roasts for a cold or rainy day. As well as offering a host of professional-style features and functions, these appliances can also bring a pop of colour to your space, whether bold and bright, nature-inspired or nicely neutral. Take the Rangemaster Elise 90 in Cherry Red for instance. This French-style model looks stunning set within a crisp white kitchen with handleless white cabinet doors, a concrete-effect quartz worksurface and soft grey or off-white walls.

Speaking of Cherry Red, Falcon also has the perfect range cooker to create a statement look in a white or cream kitchen. Its Deluxe 1000 dual fuel model features a brushed nickel trim and is ideal for a more classic Shaker-style kitchen with painted in-frame doors, wooden worksurfaces and a stone tiled floor. The larger 100cm size is perfect for families and entertaining and you can easily tie this colour in with other items in the kitchen with matching tea towels, oven gloves, kettle, toaster, crockery and cookware in a bold red shade. This palette also works well with on-trend teal or green accessories too.

Rangemaster recently introduced a new palette of colours for its range cookers, which included Stone Blue. This bold statement look is ideal for both classic and contemporary kitchen designs and it enhances natural elements, too. As this image of the Classic 90 FX range cooker shows, it goes well with pale green painted timber cabinetry, as the blue and green tones evoke a feeling of nature; of bringing the outside in. This helps promote a feeling of calm within the kitchen and it looks great with metallic accents of brushed brass or gold cabinet handles with matching pendant or wall lights, sockets and switches.

Also helping to bring a sense of the great outdoors in, is the Rangemaster Elise 90 in Mineral Green, another of its new colours that is perfect for enhancing both modern and traditional kitchens. This colourway complements a wooden parquet floor exceptionally well and with timber worksurfaces, neutral cabinetry and plenty of stone and wooden elements, it’s a lovely organic look that’s full of character. The Elise 90 is also perfect for smaller spaces, as it’s just 90cm wide and comes as a dual fuel or induction model to suit your cooking preference and fuel type.

Parquet flooring is an enduring trend that suits both classic and contemporary kitchens. You can buy laminate lookalikes that have the same look and feel as traditional timber such as this Colours Staccato Natural Oak parquet effect laminate from B&Q, which has an embossed surface and bevelled edge as well as a simple click installation. It’s also compatible with underfloor heating
