Turkey Burgers

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g turkey mince
  • ½ red onion , grated
  • 1 garlic clove , crushed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 red chilli, thinly sliced
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • Lettuce
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 tsp sweet chilli sauce
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced
  • Small bunch of coriander, chopped

Serves: 4

METHOD

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the turkey mince, onion, garlic, red chilli, coriander, salt, pepper and egg yolk. Combine well with your hands, then shape into 4 flat burger patties.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a high heat, then cook the burgers for 5 mins each side or until cooked through. Toast the burger buns.
  3. Place the lettuce on the bottom halves of the buns, then top with the turkey burger, sliced cucumber and spread the top half of the buns with sweet chilli sauce.
