Now that summer is well and truly here, it’s time to start planning all those get-togethers with family and friends. With the Coronation of Charles III and Camilla on May 6th, it’s the perfect opportunity to carry on the celebrations for the weeks and months ahead and what better way than to host some outdoor entertaining?
Of course, we can’t rely too much on the great British weather so rather than bank on a barbecue, it makes much more sense to plan your menu using a Rangemaster appliance instead. Take the griddles for instance. Giving you the flexibility to cook all sorts of dishes, from lamb kebabs to griddled peaches drenched in honey, Rangemaster has a griddle for both its gas and induction hobs. The Teppanyaki griddle for gas hobs is perfect for Japanese-style bites, burgers, bangers and more thanks to its flat plate design that sits snugly over the burners. It’s also non-stick for easy cleaning.
The sit-on griddle is made from aluminium and also sits on top of a gas hob though this one has a combination of a flat plate for bacon and French toast, perfect for a weekend brunch, and grooves to drain fat away for healthy cooking.

Then there’s the induction griddle, which can be used with Rangemaster’s induction range cookers with a bridging zone. It’s ideal for steak, seafood and toasties and you can find out which griddle is compatible with which range cooker here.

There are plenty of recipes to inspire your outdoor entertaining here, with family favourites such as Lamb Lollipops, Turkey Burgers, Chicken Satay Skewers and Pimm’s Cupcakes. There are lots of vegan dishes, too.
Another specialist feature of a Rangemaster range cooker is the Glide-Out Grill™. Its smooth-action telescopic runners make it safe and simple to keep an eye on cooking, as it stops the grill from being pulled out too far.

Once you’ve planned your menu, it’s time to turn your attention to the textiles that will make your outdoor entertaining an event to remember. AGA Cookshop has a wonderful range of chef’s pads, oven gloves, gauntlets, aprons and tea towels in beautiful designs perfect for summer soirées.

The Cook’s Garden collection comes in a choice of two background colours – Cool Mint, as shown above, and Warm Mustard. Roses, clematis and sweet peas are blended with rosemary and thyme, perfect for the summer season. The Blossom collection below meanwhile is a range of water coloured floral textiles with a fresh, modern feel. Both designs will lift your kitchen and give it a burst of summer energy while also creating outdoor dining settings that your guests will love.

If you’re in need of some new furniture and accessories to spruce up the garden, how about this stunning Tuscan reclaimed extending table from Jo Alexander. It seats up to eight comfortably or 10 with slimmer chairs or a couple of stools and it’s made from rustic vintage reclaimed teak.

You’ll want some shade for those hot summer afternoons and we love Staycation Vintage Parasols. These wooden and canvas designs are perfect for picnics and outdoor entertaining with their classic stripes and cotton tassel fringe.

Sometimes you’ll just be entertaining with a cuppa and a catch up, in which case a simple bistro set is all that’s needed. The Roborough two seater in coral from Farmhouse Table Company is perfect for balconies, smaller spaces and courtyards.

And if you do want to celebrate the Coronation, don’t forget to hang some bunting for the occasion. This red, white and blue stripe design from The Stripes Company is around 5.5m long and is made from 100% yarn dyed woven cotton with 18 individually stitched flags.
