Mini Doughnuts & Chocolate Dipping Sauce

Our mini doughnuts and chocolate sauce are perfect for sharing with the family or friends. You can even use the warming zone on your Rangemaster to help keep the chocolate at the right temperature to make it perfect for dipping!

  • For the chocolate sauce:
  • 250g dark chocolate
  • 100g golden syrup
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 150ml double cream

  • For the doughnuts:
  • 225g/8oz self-raising flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 25g/1oz-melted butter or oil
  • 1 egg
  • 25-50g/1-2oz caster sugar
  • Approximately 6-7 tablespoons of milk and water
  • Vegetable oil for deep-frying
  • Extra sugar for coating
  1. To make the sauce: melt the chocolate, syrup, butter and cream in a bowl over a pan of just simmering water.
  2. To make the doughnuts: Sift the dry ingredients together, add the butter or oil, egg and sugar and mix well.
  3. Gradually add enough milk to make a soft dough.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls the size of a large walnut on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Heat the oil to 190ºC.   Slide the doughnuts into the hot oil in batches, allowing the oil to come back up to temperature in between frying.  The doughnuts will rise to the surface and begin to colour underneath, turn carefully and allow to brown all over.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Roll in sugar and pile up on a serving plate.
  8. Serve with the chocolate sauce.
