| Rangemaster Egg Nog
This is a lovely warming drink. The quantity will make 1 large or 2 smaller glasses, great for your visitors this Christmas but why not make one when you come home from Christmas shopping!
250ml/½ pint milk 4 cloves 1 egg, separated 1 teaspoon sugar ¼ pint softly whipped double cream 1 tablespoon brandy 1 tablespoon ginger wine freshly grated nutmeg, optional
· Pour the milk into a pan with the cloves, heat gently to allow the flavour of the cloves to permeate the milk. · Whisk the egg white until stiff. · In a large jug, mix the egg yolk and sugar together and stir in the alcohol. · Stir in the warmed milk and gently fold in the cream. · Pour into a wine glass and top with the egg white and a little grated nutmeg. · Pop in a straw and enjoy!
Because of the raw egg content, this drink may not be suitable for everyone.
