Ingredient of the Month: Purple Sprouting Broccoli
Purple sprouting is in fact the original version of broccoli though less widely used when compared to the green "tree like" calabrese from Italy. Its flavour is surprisingly delicate and is delicious when simply steamed and drizzled with olive oil, Try crumbling some Welsh or Somerset goats cheese over it. Cooking times should be as for asparagus
