SIMPLY MODERN

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Wednesday, 18th October 2017

We’re going Simply Modern this month, with contemporary kitchens and the sleek, on-trend appliances and accessories to go with them. Modern schemes are a really flexible style solution for all kinds of property, whether it’s a glass box kitchen extension on the back of a Victorian terrace or a compact apartment in the heart of the city. Simple slab doors with a recessed handle offer a sleek, seamless feel which can then be topped off with a worktop either in a complementary neutral shade or something a little more daring to add a touch of drama. The latest quartz worksurfaces for instance come in all sorts of finishes including concrete effects for an on-trend industrial look. Natural timber will also suit but it does need regular oiling to keep its organic beauty looking its best. Laminate is another option and is ideal for those working to a budget.

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Monday, 5th September 2016

Everyone knows Rangemaster for its professional-style range cookers but sometimes you need an extra appliance or two to cope with cooking and entertaining on a larger scale. Some homeowners also prefer the look of a sleek, integrated oven and hob rather than the freestanding focal point of a range. Rangemaster has the solution with the launch of its stylish new built-in collection, which includes single and double ovens, compact appliances, hobs, dishwashers and refrigeration.

Kitchen Catwalk

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Tuesday, 24th February 2015

February’s London Fashion Week, which showcased what’s on trend for Autumn/Winter 2015, saw colour in every shade and spectrum. Glaswegian designer Jonathan Saunders presented a technicolour tribute with graphic slices of reds, blues, orange, pink and everything in between. Tangerine made a huge impact at the David Koma and Sibling shows, Daks went for colourful checks alongside rich red wrapwear while Emilia Wickstead chose a forties style with pops of pared-back colour.
