Hints and tips on how to clean your Rangemaster

With spring upon us, it’s time to start about spring cleaning your oven ready for all the BBQ (I know I’m being a little optimistic here) and Easter visitors. Cleaning my oven is not one of my favourite jobs I have to say, however with most range cookers being the focal point of the kitchen, spending that little bit of time, properly cleaning your Rangemaster will really prove worthwhile, and completely make your kitchen sparkle. As well as being more hygienic, better for your healthy and prevent the smell of burnt and smoke of burnt on fatty food and grease.

Healthy and exciting breakfast ideas using your Rangemaster

Christmas has been and gone and everyone is thinking about shedding those few extra pounds that were gained over the Christmas period, but who wants to eat rabbit food for the next 3 days and then give up.  It’s important to remain positive and still enjoy your food, even when you are trying to shed those few extra pounds, one of the best ways to do this is to ensure that you are eating three healthy, exciting and different meals a day. So many people skip breakfast whether it is due to time restrictions, being disorganised or the classic excuse, “I don’t usually feel hunger in the morning”. It really important to eat a balanced breakfast to give your body energy and help start your day in a bright and positive way. Hopefully the super quick, healthy and delicious recipes that we have created here at Rangemaster, will make you excited about cooking and eating breakfast and give you lots of energy to battle through the cold winter months.

Making the most of the Rangemaster Steam Oven

With the launch of the new range of built in appliances comprising of 19 products, the one that is most exciting for me is the Rangemaster Steam Oven.

When you say the words Steam Oven to most people they automatically think of vegetables and fish, and the most asked question I get as the AGA Rangemaster Group Home Economist is “why would I need an oven to just cook fish and vegetables”. Well in answer to that question, the steam oven is much more versatile than you may think and can be used all through the day and not just for the fish and veggies at dinner time.

Defrosting Food in your Multifunction Oven

We have probably all defrosted food in a microwave oven with varying degrees of success as the food often becomes partially cooked which isn’t what we want at all! The key to defrosting is to not apply any heat but microwaves do apply heat! 

Defrosting food in your Rangemaster multifunction oven is easy; just put the food in the oven and select the defrost function and away you go!  If your oven shelves are clean you can put the food directly on to them, if not, put the food on a rack over a tray, this way the air can circulate all around the food (check out my blog on oven cleaning!).
