My favourite Rangemaster function
Posted by Alexandra Dibble Thursday, 2nd June 2016
I have been asked to pick my favourite function on a Rangemaster but I can’t choose just one function, so I am going for the multifunction oven and all of the functions therein!
To explain why, I think it will be easier for me to describe cooking something in the multifunction oven which will use 3 of its functions. An all-time favourite – a quiche or a savoury tart, is a good example.0 Comments

Defrosting Food in your Multifunction Oven
Posted by Alexandra Dibble Monday, 2nd November 2015
We have probably all defrosted food in a microwave oven with varying degrees of success as the food often becomes partially cooked which isn’t what we want at all! The key to defrosting is to not apply any heat but microwaves do apply heat!
Defrosting food in your Rangemaster multifunction oven is easy; just put the food in the oven and select the defrost function and away you go! If your oven shelves are clean you can put the food directly on to them, if not, put the food on a rack over a tray, this way the air can circulate all around the food (check out my blog on oven cleaning!).
The Rapid Response Function In Your Rangemaster
Posted by Alexandra Dibble Monday, 19th October 2015
This function does exactly what you would expect it to – it heats the oven up quickly!
It is really useful for one of those 'oh blow it, I forgot to turn the oven on' moments that we all have! Rapid Response heats the oven up faster than normal with the extra heat from the element in the top of the oven. All you need to do is select Rapid Response - R - on the multi-function control knob and then the temperature you need; the oven will then heat to your chosen temperature faster than normal. The light on the fascia by the R symbol will come on and will go off when the temperature you have selected is reached. The fan function then takes over.0 Comments

A GAS HOB OR AN INDUCTION HOB?
A tricky choice that needs some careful consideration! As the Rangemaster Home Economist I have worked on both of these hob types in our development lab here in Leamington Spa, and yes, I do have a favourite!0 Comments
