Statement Kitchens

When it comes to choosing a new kitchen, there are so many elements to consider. A Rangemaster range cooker is a great starting point, as you’ll benefit from a wide variety of features and functions for perfect cooking results every time, as well as having a statement piece that can either complement or contrast with your cabinetry. To help inspire you with different styles of furniture, we’ve picked some statement kitchens that will add wow factor to any space…

Perfect for modern or period homes, this Bovingdon kitchen from Cue & Co of London is made from a combination of solid oak, oak veneer and tulipwood and hand painted in Little Greene’s Dark Lead. To highlight the island unit and create a balanced feel, a row of three small Lucent lanterns provides contrast against the dark grey palette, while a handmade dining table is teamed with benches and bar stools, all from Cue & Co. To finish the look and in keeping with the industrial trend, polished concrete worktops are set against a polished Venetian plaster splashback. Cue & Co of London cabinetry, lighting and furniture is all handcrafted at its workshop in Parsons Green, London, and each piece is tailored to individual specifications with kitchens from £35,000.

We love this Shaker kitchen, which is shown off beautifully when set against exposed brickwork and stripped floorboards. A classic design incorporating clean lines and classical proportions, it’s inspired by the 19th Century designs of Shaker furniture makers and perfectly reflects the balance and simplicity that its original makers prized so highly. Prices also start from £18,000.

The bespoke Heritage handpainted oak kitchen by Mowlem & Co pays homage to classical English design principles, reinterpreted for a contemporary lifestyle. Created for a former priory, now a period family home, the design features a distinctive freestanding island unit in an unframed style, which is painted in Farrow & Ball’s Railings shade and fitted with Belgian Fossil marble worktops. To one end of the island unit, the top of a reclaimed butcher’s block has been added - with exposed bolts as an accent - to serve as both a chopping block and an impromptu breakfast bar. Prices start at £30,000.

Neptune’s Suffolk kitchen collection is influenced by the Suffolk tradition of furniture making during the 19th Century and is full of innovations such as magnetic close doors and concealed dimmable lighting. Choose from single, double and full height curved larder and cabinets, sideboards and chairs and a selection of accessories including chopping boards, trays and towel racks. With prices from £9,000, we think this blue and white scheme offers a fresh look with a more than a touch of New England chic about it.

Second Nature’s Remo Matt White kitchen includes a Rangemaster Mercury 1200 range cooker and extractor in a classic oyster colour. There’s plenty of wow factor in this scheme with the contrasting statement mosaic-patterned floor, solid surface worktops with oak edge strip, vivid blue walls and bespoke solid surface table. Remo kitchens are priced from £12,000 and available from independent Second Nature retailers nationwide.

When you need some office space at home, Second Nature’s Fitzroy kitchen can include a discreet workbench for paperwork and homework for the children, without detracting from the rest of the scheme. In a stunning mix of Hartforth blue, slate and partridge grey teamed with a modern mix of worktop materials, prices start from £10,000.
