Southend Food Festival & Bristol Foodies
Posted by Guest Blogger Tuesday, 30th June 2015
On Sunday 28th June the South End Food Festival was held in the Restaurant Quarter of Croydon and attracted over 10,000 visitors, with the event being opened by the Mayor of Croydon.
One of the highlights on the mobile Aga Rangemaster Kitchen stage was a "Get Ready Cook-Off" between Croydon chefs which featured lots of audience participation as usual. Demonstrations were held by Olde Goa, Jam ‘N’ Jerk, Uncle Lim’s Kitchen and more!
It really was a fabulous day for all the family, with over 70 stalls, live music, alfresco dining, street entertainers and a dedicated kids area.
From Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June, Foodies Festival returned to Bristol for its sixth consecutive year. The event took place on the very beautiful Clifton Downs which was the perfect outdoor setting for one of the UK’s largest celebration of food and drink festivals!
Again, the Rangemaster Chefs Theatre was packed over the 3 days with visitors delighting in the vast array of food demonstrations and culinary skills which proved to be both entertaining and informative.
There was a new Feasting Tent, which was also a social hub where visitors enjoyed eating with chefs, friends and family at long banqueting tables. This truly is a great social foodie event of the summer.
