Bolton Food and Drink Festival

The country’s TV Celebrity Chefs were out in force at the weekend taking to the AGA Rangemaster Cookery Theatre stage once again at this ever popular Food and Drink Festival which attracted thousands over the 4 days.
Two star Michelin chef Michael Caines ‘kick-started’ the festival on Friday with demonstrations in the main AGA Rangemaster marquee.
Everyone’s favourite Italian chef the fantastic Gino D’Acampo was back in Bolton on Saturday by popular demand and whowed the packed out audiences with his delicious and highly entertaining cookery demonstrations.
Sunday saw TV MasterChef, John Torode take to the kitchen to show his culinary skill in his ever so exceptional cooking demonstrations to the delight of crowds including overseeing a ‘special cook-off’ between top regional chefs.
Last, but certainly not least, BBC 1 Saturday Kitchen’s James Martin was in the AGA Rangemaster Cookery Theatre on Monday, back by popular demand and as always a huge crowd pleaser, when he focussed on using the best ingredients possible to create simple, delicious recipes accessible to all.
Katy Ashworth, a CBeebies television presenter favourite, entertained young food fans with kid-friendly demos in the dedicated Children’s Marquee with local and regional chefs playing a big part in other foodie attractions at various locations in the town centre.
It was a fantastic event attracting crowds, despite grey skies and rain, from far and wide, to see our top TV celebrity chefs who dished up culinary delights demonstrated in their very own individual creative styles.Share
